Particularly thin, babies’ skin is very sensitive and reactive to external aggressions. Their needs are therefore different from those of an adult. What baby care products should I use? With what product should you cleanse your fragile skin? What to put in your baby’s toiletry bag? Here is the list of organic baby toiletries.

Essential baby hygiene products
To ensure your baby’s comfort and perfect hygiene from birth, their toiletry bag must contain products specifically adapted to their needs. Choose only organic and essential baby products, there is no point applying too many lotions to their delicate skin. To take care of baby’s skin:
- Washable wipes in different formats and dedicated to cleaning certain areas of the body: hands, face, baby’s bottom. Also remember to take cotton squares to clean the seat after bowel movements.
- Physiological serum, ideal for cleaning baby’s eyes or nose in complete safety. You will find pipettes of physiological serum in pharmacies.
- Sterile compresses and biodegradable cotton swabs which will be particularly useful in the first weeks for cleaning the umbilical cord.
- A hairbrush with natural, soft and supple bristles.
- A safe and gentle nail file for baby during their first months.
- Liniment with an ancestral formula (olive oil, lime water) which is used after changing to clean baby’s bottom and form a protective film on the surface of his skin.
- A body and hair cleansing gel, containing mild surfactants (decyl glucoside, sodium lauroamphoacetate, etc.) to eliminate impurities without damaging the surface layer of baby’s immature skin1
- A high-tolerance moisturizing cream, enriched with vegetable oil of organic origin, with soothing, protective and fortifying properties, to keep baby’s skin soft and comfortable. Make this moment a time of bonding with your child by massaging him!
Massage is a moment of well-being particularly appreciated by little ones after washing, it allows them to relax and discover the limits of their body. To extend the baby’s massage time and make it particularly pleasant, don’t hesitate to add a special baby massage oil to your baby’s toiletries.
Baby’s travel toiletry bag
In addition to the hygiene products mentioned above, remember to include sun protection in your baby’s toiletry bag whenever you travel. Its skin has a lower melanin content than an adult, so it is more sensitive to UV radiation.2 and must be strongly protected in addition to a hat, sunglasses and anti-UV clothing. Finally, for practical, no-rinse cleansing, consider micellar water, with emollient and moisturizing properties.3containing mild surfactants which have excellent tolerance for the skin, It will allow you to clean, using a washable wipe, the skin of the baby’s face and body, without drying it out.
Don’t hesitate to keep and reuse small bottles to pour your children’s care products into and easily slip them into the diaper bag!
