Fresh and a source of numerous benefits for our skin, micellar water is very appreciated as a daily hygiene gesture by the whole family. Today it is one of the essentials in our bathroom to clean the skin and eliminate impurities. What does micellar water contain? How to choose it? Centifolia enlightens you on the benefits of micellar waters and its multiple uses.

What is micellar water?
Micellar water takes its name from the micelles contained in its formula, these are molecules which have the particularity of having 2 poles:
– A lipophilic pole (which likes fat) which attaches to fat.
– A hydrophilic pole (which loves water) which captures skin impurities and dissolves them.
Micelles are capable of eliminating external residues such as foundation, waterproof makeup, pollution, etc. and the skin’s natural impurities such as sebum, dead cells, sweating, etc. Micellar water therefore has 2 main actions: cleansing and makeup remover.
If you are looking for a gentle product that cleans the skin quickly and effectively, micellar water will be particularly suitable for you. Its soothing formula does not contain soap and helps maintain a balanced pH. Some micellar waters may contain a specific active ingredient depending on the type of skin (dry, oily, acne-prone, etc.). For example, Centifolia purifying micellar water contains zinc PCA, an active ingredient known for its sebum-regulating activity.
How to choose your micellar water?
Very gentle, micellar water is suitable for all skin types and the whole family, from 3 years old or from birth with water specially adapted to baby’s delicate skin. We advise you to choose organic micellar water, with certification from an independent organization such as Ecocert.
Today there are micellar waters specially formulated to meet your expectations and the specific needs of your skin: act on sebum production, gently cleanse baby’s skin, bring freshness and radiance to your complexion…
Centifolia micellar waters are certified organic and formulated with rigorously selected active ingredients, for the greatest comfort of your skin and that of your family.
Using micellar water correctly
Micellar water is applied morning and/or evening with a cotton pad (preferably a washable wipe) to the face and eye area. It is not necessary to rub, it is the action of the micelles which will dissolve the impurities, which is why this cleansing is very gentle on the skin. Micellar water does not require rinsing but if you feel the need, you can rinse it with clear water or with floral water which is then dabbed in order to eliminate the micelles.
Do not hesitate to alternately use a cleansing milk or a cleansing oil jelly to remove makeup more thoroughly from your skin and vary the pleasures of your cleansing ritual!
