Our priority is to offer you effective and sensory products, having the lowest possible impact on the environment. To achieve this, eco-design is at the heart of our actions and is integrated into all stages of the life cycle of our products: from the search for raw materials to its end of life (recycling and recovery) including its manufacturing, distribution and use. In a process of continuous improvement, Centifolia experts respect numerous commitments which are at the heart of all our decisions.

A process of continuous improvement
Centifolia has its own Packaging Development team which has set up an eco-comparator since 2020. Each new packaging is therefore evaluated according to 20 criteria ranging from conservation, solidity, design, practicality, recyclability or even overpackaging… Depending on the results obtained, numerous concrete actions are implemented by our teams in order to improve the environmental footprint of packaging. Here are some examples:
- Replacement of plastic bottles of our vegetable oils and macerates with glass bottles, representing a 70% reduction in plastic on these ranges
- Use of 50% to 100% recycled and recyclable PET in our range of hygiene products
- Use of monomaterial and standard shapes for optimal recyclability
- Use of 100% recyclable cardboard packaging
- Development of hygiene products in large formats
- Communication on good sorting actions. You will find the sorting instructions on each Centifolia product label.
A voluntary approach at the heart of our priorities
If preserving the environment in the formulation and manufacturing of products is a mandatory approach for certain aspects (limit of content of toxic substances, heavy metals, etc.), ecodesign remains a voluntary and preventive approach on the part of companies. Generally speaking, ecodesign contributes to limiting waste production, reducing energy and water consumption, and also reducing air pollution. Manufacturers are essential players and are increasingly aware of taking ecodesign into consideration in the life cycle of their products. Centifolia has understood this well for 40 years.
Each new product formulated by Centifolia is certified organic. That is to say, it must meet very strict specifications based on precise criteria, such as the use of ingredients of natural or organic origin, respect for the environment and biodiversity during the production and processing stages, etc. Organic certifications are very regulated and are issued by an independent certifying body. For the certification of its products, Centifolia has always placed its trust in ECOCERT, which issues various certifications.
Choosing organic beauty products means supporting responsible, environmentally friendly, chemical-free agriculture that does not exhaust natural resources and promotes animal welfare. Beyond the product, there is an entire business philosophy that revolves around organic products.
