Individual suite, wellness treatments, nature as far as the eye can see… This new hotel is sure to sell dreams. But you can’t stay there, unless you are… A dog!
When welcoming a pet, one of the important points to think about is how we are going to care for it if we are away and it cannot accompany us. You can of course ask your loved ones, but there are also professional structures. We know the kennels and catteries, the cat/dog sitters who take the animal into their home or come to see it at home, and we are also seeing particularly high-end services appear.
This is part of the fact that we increasingly consider pets as full members of the family (which is an excellent thing), and we therefore want them to be pampered, both on a daily basis and when we are away. When we talk about high-end services, some don’t do things by halves: there are now spas, daycares and other hotels for animals! In July 2025, the very first 5-star hotel-resort for dogs in France even opened its doors, 45 minutes from the capital.
This is Dog Valley, which is located in Saint-Chéron, in Essonne. This hotel for dogs obviously offers classic services such as tailor-made meals, games and daily walks, but also luxury services: individual suite of 10 m² with several beds, secure 5-hectare park, return transport from home (depending on the area), olfactory garden, proprioception course… There is even a natural pond and a swimming pool for dogs who like to splash around! And it doesn’t stop there, doggies can also benefit from education and care sessions such as professional grooming, canine osteopathy, massages and treatments to relax.
To reassure humans during their protégé’s stay, there is personalized monitoring with news, photos and videos sent regularly. In addition, to know the dog’s temperament and ensure that it will integrate well into the environment, each stay begins with a test day! Obviously, all this has a cost, and it is rather high: 95 euros per night. It is also possible to have your dog looked after for the day, for the same amount. Nothing is ever too good for our faithful four-legged companions!
